Calculations run in your browser. Lumber Calc does not create accounts and does not send the numbers you type to a server. A shared link contains the calculator inputs only.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics stays off until you choose Accept all or turn it on in Cookie settings. Elsewhere, analytics is on until you turn it off the same way.

Google Analytics 4 records page views and calculator events such as a result view, a shared link, or a CSV download. It does not receive the measurements you type. Google keeps that data for 14 months. The script loads after the page, and only when analytics is allowed.

Google AdSense may show ads on these pages. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising cookies stay off until you allow them in Cookie settings. Elsewhere, ads can show until you turn them off the same way. The calculator still does not send your measurements to a Lumber Calc server. Affiliate links, when present, may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links do not change the calculation.

Cloudflare Web Analytics, when the host enables it, measures speed without cookies.

This browser stores lc:v1:consent for your cookie choice until you change it or clear site data. It stores lc:v1:region for the country code of the current visit, and that value is cleared when the tab closes. It stores lc:v1:prefs for fraction precision, the length input mode, and imperial or metric units.

Saved projects use lc:v1:projects. Each entry keeps the name, the calculator, the share-link inputs, and the time you saved it. The list holds 20 projects. Export writes a JSON file on your device. Those values stay in this browser and are not sent to Lumber Calc.
